Æ Tinuser presented traditional dance music from Western Jutland, played by three old musicians Hans Nielsen (1906-95), fiddle, Karl Nielsen (1911-83), piano, and Ejnar Nielsen (1911- 83), drums and trombone. Together they were known as “The Tinus Brothers”. Their mixture of traditional tunes and standard popular dance music made them outstanding and very popular up to the mid-60’s.

By the 1970’s and 80’s they were experiencing a revival, due to the overall revival of traditional popular music. The CD “Gammeldans” was recorded in 1978-79 at various different occasions. The CD “Knågstykker” was recorded in 1965 and 1969.

I just found out that there's a band called Triotinus (http://www.myspace.com/triotinus). Triotinus continues the same tradition and uses similar instrumentation as Æ Tinuser. From what I've heard their music on their Myspace page, I can recommend it to any Æ Tinuser listener.
