My Picks: The 50 Tracks of the Aughts, Part V
17 Jan 2012, 20:04 by CraigMcDerm0tt
20. Me and Giuliani Down By the Schoolyard-!!!, Louden Up Now, 2003.
This is the shortest nine-minute track on record. !!! sounds like an updated, NYC Sly & the Family Stone. Nic Offer, the only vocalist on this list one could describe as “objectively poor,” delivers one of the most heroic performances of the decade. “People always ask me, ‘What’s so fucking great about dancing?’ Well how the fuck should I know? I myself can barely understand it!” He half-howls, half-mumbles midway through the track, as stuttering guitar riffs take the foreground. The epic, controlled chaos of the jam makes this track the Indie Rock answer to the Phishes and Widespread Panics of the world. That bass line just slinks and creeps throughout. A cowbell rattles and hums persistently in the background. Horns appear in charismatic “Live at the Apollo” flashes.
Unmistakably influenced in pieces by the past, the whole thing as a composite sounds like the future, even downright revolutionary… -

Company's Okay, Solitude Is Bliss
2 Nov 2011, 14:33 by ijolism
Sat 29 Oct – BEATFEST
To be honest, !!! sucked. Their music was monotonous, the vocalist was rambling and shouting instead of singing, he was also very annoying with getting off the stage three times (and he's not even attractive, blergh), or maybe it's just that they're not my cuppa tea, but I felt that the idea of pairing them in the same event with Tame Impala was a bit off. I believe they will be more "enjoyable" if they play at Java Jazz or something like that.
So after painfully waiting for like 3-4 hours, Tame Impala finally played. The gate was open since 6 and they played at like 12ish!! Freak!! Fortunately it was saturday night so people didn't really complain.
And they were VERY satisfying!! It was surreal and definitely trippy and shit. Everyone was like busy enjoying their performance with themselves,
Solitude Is Bliss was definitely the highlight of that awesome night.
There were people leaving during their show… -

Podobno wymawia się to „crosses”…
11 Aug 2011, 20:22 by nietendon

Famous Dead Musicians/Artists and Causes of Death (Pt 1, Age 16-36)
23 Jul 2011, 23:56 by thomas10
This is an article in which I tried to bundle all the great losses of rock'n roll and modern music. That means all the musicians which are worldwide known and died at young age (before 51 years old). I tried to give a little information about the way they died. Most of the information I got from Wikipedia. When someone thinks I forgot an artist or that the information is incorrect... I'm open for new information.
The list is in order of age of dying
For the artists older than 36 I'll recommend you Pt 2;

Ritchie Valens (1941-1959)
Plane crash. After a winning cointoss and despite of his fear to fly, together with Buddy Holly and The Big Bopper, he flew out of the Mason City airport in a small plane that Holly had chartered. The plane flew into a blinding snowstorm and crashed shortly after takeoff. This is known as "The Day The Music Died".
