1) The Lift recorded for Magnet Records in the UK in 1987. Their single ‘United State’ received much airplay on BBC Radio 1 that July and is characteristic of the mainstream power-pop of its time.
2) Lift was a ’90s “truly-alternative-rock” band with Molly Bancroft (vocals, guitar), Simone Simonton (drums) and Julie Clark (bass). They released two LPs: Lifelike (1997) and Stellar (1996).
