Brian Cook, Rebecca Scott, and a drum machine formed Panda Riot in July of 2005 while working on a short film. The underwater scenes and airplane shots inspired a blissful, swirl-pop, sing-along, sonar sort of aesthetic that was so delightful, they made a band of it. Rebecca’s breathy soprano wafts above the dancy drum machine beats, blown-out guitar booms, and a keyboard plugged into a death metal pedal. Panda Riot plays extensively in Philadelphia and New York, and the band is finishing up their first album. Their music has been compared to Portishead, My Bloody Valentine, and The Swirlies, with a lot of hot.

Crash Pop, Fuzzed out guitars. Languid vocals. Break-beat drum machine. slow motion avalanche
