Fiction Records is a UK indie label started by Chris Parry in 1978 that is best known as being the home of The Cure for over 20 years. The label’s first #1 record was Wish by The Cure in 1992, going #1 in the United Kingdom.

After a dormant period of several years, the label was then re-started in January 2004, with the first release being the UK #5 single Run by Snow Patrol.

The current Fiction stable includes Ian Brown, The Maccabees, Kate Nash, Elbow, White Lies, Yuksek, Filthy Dukes, Detroit Social Club, Athlete and Matthew P.
