Virtual Factory Records is a small record label, originating from the collaboration between internationally acclaimed multimedia artists “Wave World” and Computer Graphics Studio “Virtual Factory”. After working together on the Wave World Computer Graphics shows for several years, the need was felt to set up an independant record label. As Virtual Factory’s operations had been gradually shifting in the direction of supporting Wave World’s activities, it was decided to name the company “Virtual Factory Records”.

A contributing factor in this logical decision existed in the fact that Virtual Factory, being born out of “The Real Virtuality Project”, had its roots in the Electronic Music scene. “The Real Virtuality project” was one of the first Computer Graphics & Electronic Music shows of its kind, created by Ronald Wijnands and Rolf van Slooten in 1994 and 1995. After this project, Rolf decided to continue using his animation and Computer Graphics skills more profesionally for Film, Corporate and TV productions. In 1999 Wave World and Virtual Factory “found” each other, and a new kind of Multimedia Experience was invented.

At the moment, next to Wave World, Virtual Factory Records supports a selective group of other artists. We have our own webshop and the number of distribution channels is increasing. Virtual Factory Records is run bij Harry Kessels, Gert van Santen and Rolf van Slooten (who are indeed the three members of Wave world). Because of its strong affinity with Music and Computer Graphics, Virtual Factory is also your address for Video Clips, CD/DVD artwork and DVD authoring.
