Tribunal Records started in the summer of 1999, with the aspiration of releasing records by bands whom we enjoy listening to. We decided to take a different approach to running a record label than most labels that have come before us. We put the music first, and rather than spend money on advertising and showing kids how “fashionable” we are or how big our band’s crowds can be. We instead release records, plain and simple. It is this philosophy that has allowed us to release over 70 records in six years, which is an incredible feat for such a small, independent record label. It is our love of music, and our desire to help bands (our friends) get their music to a larger audience that keeps us rolling along.
Tribunal Records has been able to gain a reputation for releasing some of the best metal/hardcore in the scene today which has included debut/early releases from artists such as ATREYU, HE IS LEGEND, FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES, SCARLET, DAYLIGHT DIES, AGE OF RUIN, EYES UPON SEPARATION (featuring JT of Hawthorne Heights), BLOODJINN, ANIMOSITY, DEADSOIL, PRAYER FOR CLEANSING and FROM HERE ON (both featured members who formed BETWEEN THE BURIED & ME).

The Tribunal roster today now includes not only the best metal and hardcore bands from the USA including: The Taste Of Blood, killwhitneydead, From The Shallows, The Demonstration, Woe Of Tyrants, Jonin, Liferuiner, Century, The Murdered, Dreamscapes Of The Perverse and Killing Theory but also up and commers from Europe including Slowmotion Apocalypse (Italy), Six Reasons To Kill (Germany) and Since The Day (Germany). We at Tribunal, given our past track record, know how to find the best heavy music around today!
