Trakwerx is an independent record label dedicated to artists who have something to say (led by Jackson Del Rey, founding member of 80s ‘icon’ post-punk bands 17 Pygmies & Savage Republic). Being the visual artists they are, there is great attention paid to the packaging, some being short run, signed, limited edition releases.

“I Am The Light” - Del Rey & The Sun Kings (2005), consists of Jackson Del Rey’s first recordings in over 15 years, reflecting his world and prog rock influences. Strong original songwriting skills are evident with the notable dark-themed track “Blood Doesn’t Lie”, similar in feel to “Film Noir” recorded by Savage Republic in the ’80s.

17 Pygmies came back in late 2006 after a 17 year absence with the Vinyl 7” LP release “Last Train”.

In early 2007, Del Rey & The Sun Kings released “Battleship Potemkin” on CD and DVD, garnering worldwide attention with an original prog rock score by Jackson Del Rey. Also in January 2007, 17 Pygmies recorded not only a one, but a double CD “13 Blackbirds/13 Lotus”. That same year, in November, 17 Pygmies released yet another CD “Ballade of Tristram’s Last Harping” (under the name The 17th Pygmy), a tribute to ’60s Classic Rock and ’70s Psychedelia.

Other releases in 2007: with Cult With No Name’s beautiful contributions to the “13 Blackbirds/13 Lotus” project, Trakwerx decided to release their first international CD, “Paper Wraps Rock”; Marnie Weber’s band
