In a time of unprecedented change in the music industry, one thing remains a constant: the demand for good songs and quality music. However, the type of visionary artist development that it takes to elicit this “quality” from raw talent, once the role of label A&R departments, often falls to the wayside as these departments are increasingly downsized. Sounds+Sights Entertainment is a production and management company and indie record label that seeks to provide this missing link by nurturing raw talent and delivering polished artists.

The brainchild of artist manager Mari Dew and producer Trevor Kustiak, Sounds+Sights is working to carve out a new model for structuring relationships with artists that are forward-thinking and mutually-beneficial. Rounding out the team are Executive Assistant Daryl Dew, Web+Networking Guru Kris Jamieson and Tour+Merch Manager Joe “Bull” Shipley. By remaining open-minded, creative, lean and mean, the S+S team is able to adapt to the ever-evolving music business and embrace its future.

Sounds+Sights has recently released the third, self-titled Evans Blue album and “Stories,” the debut album from Rains. Evans Blue’s first single “Erase My Scars” climbed just outside the Top 20 on the rock charts in 2010, and their new single “Say It” hits iTunes February 1st and rock and alternative radio in March. The first single from In My Coma, “Losing Sleep,” will launch on iTunes March 8th, along with two other tracks from the band’s debut album Magnets+Miracles, which is due out in May 2011.
