Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Inc. is the result of a 50/50 joint venture between Sony Music Entertainment (part of Sony) and BMG Entertainment (part of Bertelsmann) completed on August 5, 2004. It is one of the Big Four music companies, and includes ownership and distribution of recording labels such as Arista Records, Columbia Records, Epic Records, J Records, RCA Victor Records, RCA Records, Legacy Recordings, Sonic Wave America, and others.
Financial analysts covering the merger anticipated that up to 2000 jobs could be cut as a result, saving Sony BMG approximately $350 million annually.

The company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is Rolf Schmidt-Holz, who succeeded Andy Lack on February 10, 2006. In the first half of 2005, the company’s share of new releases in the United States (US) declined from 33% to 26% according to Nielsen SoundScan. This, and Lack’s negotiation of what some called an “ill-conceived” deal with Bruce Springsteen led to Bertelsmann informing Sony that it would not renew Lack’s contract. Lack now holds the position of Chairman of the Board, the position formerly occupied by Schmidt-Holz.

Buongiorno, mi dispiace vedere come altri ragazzi usciti come Mario da Amici stiano pubbliccando il secondo cd e Mario no (e qs indipendentemente dalle vendite)! non smetterò mai di chiedermi come mai, visto che leggo spesso che i discografici si lamentano che ci sono pochi giovani bravi cantautori italiani, voi stiate penalizzando un bravissimo giovante cantautore italiano! nessuno si è imposto al mio cuore come Mario! è dotato di un talento speciale, unico... e io non smetterò mai di sostenerlo e seguirlo... perchè per me Mario è per sempre! se avessi soldi io li investirei in un suo cd perchè le sue canzoni sono semplicemente delle poesie che ti toccano l'anima e il cuore! e mi dispiace veramente tanto che voi non abbiate visto tutto qs pubbliccandogli un secondo meritatissimo cd! vi saluto! valentinamario da venezia e comunque MARIO NUNZIANTE SEMPRE E PER SEMPRE!!!!!!

    buongiorno a tutti!pensavo che il periodo di vacanza facesse bene a tutti... anche a chi legge i messaggi in bacheca! se qualcuno li legge! a me le ferie hanno solo fatto capire ancora di più quanto talento abbia MARIO NUNZIANTE! ho capito che non ho alcuna speranza di vedere un suo video..ma almeno non fatevi scappare il suo secondo cd.. che sarà sicuramente stupendo se all'interno ci saranno solo canzoni scritte da lui..perchè se non vi ricordate... e ve lo ricordo io.. Mario è un fantastico cantautore... i pezzi se li scrive lui e perdonatemi ma giovani bravi cantautori ne vedo ben pochi in giro... non so cosa possa fare per farvi capire che siamo in molti a credere nel talento di Mario e speriamo che lui abbia il successo che merita... ma alle spalle bisogna anche avere una casa discografica che ti sostiene, cosa che con Mario (scusatemi ma è la verità) non avete mai fatto!confido ancora che voi lo aiutiate con il suo secondo cd!!grazie per l'attenzione!valentina
