Small Wonder was a UK independent record label owned and managed by Pete Stennett, that specialised in releasing records by punk rock and post-punk bands. It operated out of a record shop of the same name in Walthamstow, London. Important artists have included Crass, The Cure, Patrik Fitzgerald, Puncture, Cockney Rejects, Poison Girls, Fatal Microbes and the Angelic Upstarts. Bauhaus’s seminal 9 minute batcave opus Bela Lugosi’s Dead was released as the group’s debut single in August 1979 on a Small Wonder 12 inch.
