Rune Grammofon is a label founded by Rune Kristoffersen (who also makes experimental electronica under the name Monolight)… and is a diverse mix of (mostly Norwegian) electronica, post-rock, and folktronica with a fair amount of quality experimentation. Artists include Kim Hiorthøy (of Jaga Jazzist), Alog, Maja Ratkje (of Spunk and Fe-mail), Jazzkammer (which features Lasse Marhaug), Deathprod, and Supersilent. If you enjoy Tortoise, Mice Parade and early Thomas Brinkmann, this could become a favourite.
