Roughshod Records is an Independent country music label created in 1987 by Mike Johnson, Country Music’s No.1 Black Yodeler to take over his music productions from Pata del Lobo Music Publishing which he created in 1982.

The new label produced four cassette albums and four cassette singles between 1994 and 1996. In 1999 the label produced its first two CDs, “Black Yodel No.1, The Song, The Songwriter” [RCD1-069901] and “Did You Hug Your Mother Today?” [RCD2-079901] In March 2010 Roughshod Records released its 40th CD, “Mike Johnson Live! at the Tucson Cafe & Southwest Tavern.” [RCD40-032010]
