Wiki

Roadrunner, as it is known today, was established in 1985, opening their first New York office in 1986. In 2000, Slipknot became their first band to go platinum. Some of their current most successful artists include Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Machine Head, Nickelback, Opeth, Slipknot, Soulfly, DragonForce, 3 Inches Of Blood and Stone Sour. Some of their most recent acquisitions include Black Label Society, The Dresden Dolls, Megadeth, New York Dolls, Nightwish and Porcupine Tree. They are rumored to be in talks with Drowning Pool.
Also worth mentioning is the fact that Roadrunner records is Dream Theater’s favorite label.
Roadrunner were also the record company for old Sepultura albums.

Roadrunner started out as a thrash metal label but then played a huge part in the early death metal movement.
