RevOla Records was founded in 1988 by Joe Foster and Alan McGee as a subsidiary of Creation Songs Publishing. RevOla was a vehicle for reissuing out of print music that Foster and McGee loved.

RevOla became an internationally acclaimed outlet for reissues and interesting music from the past. There was a great deal of interplay between RevOla, Creation Records, and Creation Songs Publishing.

Creation Records came to a close in 1999, but the RevOla imprint has endured with Joe Foster at the helm. In the past, RevOla has been with various distributors including Cherry Red Records at one point.

The label is currently an imprint of Joe Foster’s Poppydisc label, and is exclusively distributed in Europe by Shellshock and in the US by Virtual.

RevOla was once distributed by Cherry Red, but is now part of Joe Foster's fantastic PoppyDisc family. Both RevOla and PoppyDisc are exclusively distributed by Shellshock in Europe, and by Virtual in North America.
