Resonant is a UK based (one in the midlands, one in the south) independent record label run by two Andy’s, Smith and Slocombe.

The label was launched in 1999 with DO MAKE SAY THINK ‘Besides’, a limited edition 12”. This quickly sold out and was followed a few months later by another limited 12” TARENTEL ‘Looking For Things … Searching For Things’.

The success of these two releases gave us the momentum to continue and since then we’ve worked with bands/artists from all around the world, some of which you’ll know (if this type of music is your bag) and some of which you probably wont (yet!) such as JESSICA BAILIFF WITH THE DITHERING EFFECT, BORKO, SZAM FINDLAY, SK/UM, ESMERINE, DIALECT, EMERY REEL, STAFRAENN HAKON, PORT-ROYAL, OLVIS, BLINDFOLD, LIBRARY TAPES, WHIP, KEPLER (R.I.P.), THIS IS YOUR CAPTAIN SPEAKING, YELLOW6, SMALL SAILS & CARTA

It's a conceptual album - an imaginary soundtrack - inspired by a gorgeous photowork (the release features the photos). It is quite experimental and goes from Post/ instrumental rock, to classic music, electronica, atmospheric, etc...
