Rawkus Records is an American hip hop record label established in 1996 by Brian Brater and Jarret Meyer. Soon after joining with MCA in 2002, MCA folded and Interscope/Geffen bought Rawkus. In January 2004, however, Rawkus split from Geffen. In July 2005 it was announced that Rawkus had re-emerged with a new distribution deal with RED Distribution.

Rawkus Records is known for jump-starting the careers of Mos Def & Talib Kweli and featuring prominent hip hop artists Pharoahe Monch, Big L, Cocoa Brovaz (former Smif-N-Wessun), Kool G. Rap, El-P, The High & Mighty, Company Flow, The Procussions, R.A. the Rugged Man, Skillz, Smut Peddlers etc.

The label currently includes artists like Marco Polo, Hezekiah and Blue Scholars.
