Plateau Records was created when The Frames, an Irish rock band, decided to start releasing material on their own label. In 2006, Glen Hansard (The Frames’ front man) released an album called The Swell Season in collaboration with Marketa Iglova, Marja Tuhkanen and Bertrand Galen on Plateau Records. More recently, Rob Bochnik (guitarist for The Frames) released a collection of songs on the label.
