Peconic Bay Records was created in the waning months of 2008 with the internet release of the Randy Young song “Reindeer Away” sung by his daughter Kendra for whom it was written when she was a child. Somebody had to explain how Santa did it. More Randy Young songs would soon follow released under the artist’s name “R.J.Young” with “Goin’Home” being the first full album released. These were simple recordings amassed over a number of years and written more as a hobby for his own enjoyment than with the thought of ever releasing them to the world. The Internet created that possibility. The songs were simple but held a certain charm, the mantra under which the label would be established. Peconic Bay Records was born. The dream behind the label is to create a gateway for Singer/songwriters like Randy who over the years have amassed home recordings that they would now like the world to hear.
