Pay For The Piano Recordings, named after a song by The Dismemberment Plan, is an independent record label inspired by labels such as Dischord, Deep Elm, Subpop, Saddle Creek, Bombed Out, Drive Thru, Polyvinyl and BSM.

Based in North East England (UK), the label was founded in March 2008 by Henry Carden (guitarist with post-punk band Dartz! and former A & R scout for London’s Xtra Mile Recordings) and currently has a roster consisting of Lifeless, Protectors, Ever Since The Lake Caught Fire, Gullich, Meadowlands (aka William K. J. Anderson), Nathaniel Green and Such Great Heights.
