NYC-based Nolita Records was founded in 2002 by Victoria James to put out electro music with a rock and roll twist.
On the border between post-punk, the dance underground and the shiny world of pop, Nolita artists like Luxxury, The Bijoux and The Violent Lovers mix the attitude and grit of rock with electro, blending 80’s synths and 70’s guitars with modern beats and a post-modern attitude.
Nolita’s artists have been featured on radio from KROQ and Live 105 in the US to XM and Virgin in London. They have also gotten fantastic press in blogs and magazines from Obscure Sound to XLR8R.
