At the present time being mainly a small netlabel with occasional releases, Moloch Prod. was born in 1996, when three friends started DJing pubs, clubs & after show parties under the name Moloch in Hamburg, Germany.
They were spinning records that met the self-conceived label “zeitgemäße Härte” (which roughly translates to “modern hardness”) - mainly known and unknown industrial rock & metal, EBM, intelligent dancefloor, but also rock/pop/indie stuff & classics that fit in the mix. Public DJ sessions sometimes ended up in early morning sound collage improvisations, with records playing from four or five audio sources simultaneously, and much time and work was spent with designing flyers, posters & stuff for the Moloch events and beyond. Many, many stories could be told, including the disturbing end of all those activities.
Like back in the days of its birth, the 21st century Moloch is still interested in many varieties of art, design and creativity. Only the future knows what will happen next.
