Microrave Records is a dance music label based in Ayrshire, SCOTLAND. The label was set up in October 2008 by musician and producer Shaun Dowse (aka Shaun Dimensional) initially as a means of releasing his own music commercially. With several releases planned by other talented local producers the label looks set to expand quickly.

Specializing in Minimal Techno, IDM and “alternative” electronic music, Microrave Records hopes to bring fresh and exciting new music to the clubs and hearts of dance music fans with an open mind and good taste!

Debut release Earthen Spirit Loops (MRR000) introduced the dub-fuelled minimal techno sounds of Shaun’s own project Voltergeist… Garnering support from international DJs Dubfire and Nick Warren (Way Out West) along with radio airplay worldwide, it is available to buy from all major online stores now.

“It’s more of a transcendental listening experience than a flat out club record”, says Shaun. “I just can’t get enough of those bass-heavy dub vibes and spaced-out delays at the moment!”.

Microrave Records next release was by Rob Da Bank’s Sunday Best label artists Grand National. “Cut By The Brakes”, was taken from their album “A Drink And A Quick Decision” (Sunday Best Recordings). Featuring remixes by up-and-coming Glasgow breaks duo modifier, Ministry Of Sound favourites The Japanese Popstars, quirky electronic scenesters Emotiquon, and a spooky Voltergeist remix… the single is still hot property!
