Loose Records was started in 1972 as a London based independent label. It grew out of the Keswick Records labels whose first release had been the official Carlisle United Football Club song called LOOKING GOOD which was to celebrate the Cumbrian club’s rise to the top of the FIRST DIVISION (which was the premier league of its day).
Loose lived through the punk revolution with Beat the Drum, Moon Williams, Pete Bite and John Howard with its sister label BRICKYARD RECORD giving us The Satellites and Xero.

Loose lived through the Nineties and gave us award winning UK country music band, Lemon Grass and The Wurzels and then in recent years has given us the new jazz talents of Caroline Sweeney and Brian Melville as well the alternative country of Brendan O’Hagan and the folksy Richard Anderson
