Longest Mile Records was formed early in 2007 by Ross Millard from The Futureheads, and two cohorts, Paul Reed and Nick Jackson.

It is the intention of the label to try and tear through a lot of the industry bullshit that has led to popular bands having to sound like a mix of Deacon Blue and The Clash.

We have a small but strong roster of bands, and we are looking to expand that all the time. We do accept unsolicited demo’s, because we like hearing new music. We’re not doing this so we can get away with not wearing a suit to work.

We release records on 7’’ Vinyl and Digital Download.

Longest Mile is based out of Newcastle Upon Tyne – the rent is cheaper, the air is cleaner, and the women are damn fine….
