Lift Your Head Up (L.Y.H.U.) is a Brussels based DIY ethic net-label and event platform dedicated to electronic music.

The collective was launched in 2009 by 8 freaky youngsters united under an ongoing stream of talented creation and a sheer will to kick asses (starting by their own).

Lift Your Head Up truly believes that every artist should be able to earn a living from his production. No, we’re not building up a farm community based on beats and corn fields but, as a business logic, we claim on an equal share on the sales benefits between the artists and the label. This is our own crusade and we are connecting a human and cyber community supporting this particular vision.

Lift Your Head Up highlights and promotes new coming artists. We are not Panini collectors and we are not interested in trends, hype or popular releases. We prefer to invest energy on artists yet to be discovered rather than running desperately after the trend stream. We believe in feelings and ‘coup de Coeur’, in story tellers and painters bringing emotions to the listener through a deep, minimal, tech-house sound.

In the frame of the project, L.Y.H.U. hosted several events trough the year. You may have spotted our hyperactive crew along the year 2009 on events such as PLASTIC (Gesu’s church), In wonderland with gifted locals djs and international artists such as Hubble, Juli Holz, Mlle Caro, Fader,…
