Joe Escalante and Warren Fitzgerald of The Vandals founded Kung Fu Records in 1996. The label was created in order to release the band Assorted Jelly Beans’ debut album, and later moved on to included artists such as The Ataris, Ozma, and Tsunami Bomb. Over the years, Kung Fu Records has included Blink 182, Useless I.D., The Vandals, The Ataris, Tsunami Bomb, Audio Karate, MxPx and several others. Although it is no longer as active as its earlier years, the label continues to produce a small number of artists and is still the home of The Vandals.
