Ishgnu Records is a independently-owned recording label based in Rochester, Illinois, USA. Presently operating signed artists include (A) Band of Pirates and Griffy the Cooper.

Ishgnu Records opened in 2005 as Ishgnu Music, a production vehicle for New City, an alternative/indie rock band based out of Rochester, IL. As the demand for recording services grew in Central Illinois, Ishgnu started to meet the needs of other musicians in the greater Springfield area, and soon began work on promotional endeavors for bands recorded.

The company took on a new face in the summer of 2007, and once New City dissolved, focused more on a label aspect than independent creation in the region. Ishgnu Records is in fact a uniquely different company (owned by Gregory Mikels), and is no longer officially associated with Ishgnu Media Limited, a web consulting firm in Rochester.

Currently operating artists on the label include: (A) Band of Pirates (folk/country) and Griffy the Cooper (folk/indie rock). Past artists include: New City (alternative/indie rock), Bastognes’ Best (ska/punk), The Semiotics (other), and numerous solo projects.
