[Ion013] mind.area – long-distance side trip

18 Feb 2010, 09:06

"The song is asleep in the machine." These lines from a song by Einstürzende Neubauten could also be the subtitle of the album “long-distance side trip” by Mind.Area – behind which Human Decay member maikko A. is hiding.

Modern urban myths, set to music in an sound universe in which the machines create the sound for humans. In a fascinating new way electronic Club-rhythms are melting with atmospheric -elements. Connecting to the deep vortex of the with distorted, ominous vocals and machine sounds. Thus creating the soundtrack for the dirty, gray cities of the modern era, in which just a few gleams of hope still flash. The labyrinthine lyrics reinforce this concept again, they are nevertheless created by “Caseee”, a mysterious mind.machine.

Where other acts just build snub-aggressive rhythms, Mind.Area set primarily on atmosphere and thus create a fascinating kaleidoscope of , music, but absolutely danceable. Modern, unique and incredibly captivating. Still an insider tip! But not for long!??

Fans of Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, and intelligent, danceable atmospheric Electro-Industrial should give this one a try for sure!
