Sister label to Revolver Records. One of the original NWOBHM labels, started in 1978 and operating continuously ever since!

Based in glamorous (and sunny) Wolverhampton, Heavy Metal Records has flown the flag for Heavy Metal (in particular the NWOBHM movement) since the late 70s. At one point, HMR operated as Heavy Metal Records, Heavy Metal America in the USA, Heavy Metal Worldwide for overseas releases and Heavy Metal International. We’ve since downsized a little bit ;) but our fan base remains as loyal as ever and demand for our most popular albums is unrelenting - which shows that there are still a good few true music fans out there \m/

Three decades and (quite literally) hundreds of albums later, HMR is still going, with new releases planned for 2010 and beyond. One album we’re particularly excited by is the new studio album from Hellfighter (comprised of former members from Xentrix and Kill II This), which we can’t wait to hear (and we’re sure the same goes for you filthy lot! :D)
