It all began in 2002 with Messrs Moor and Davies deciding to whittle a few tunes for a bit of fun. Without intending to take it much further, there emerged a batch of songs, which with Mates Culpin and Tilbury on board, created a fire that few could resist dancin round.

Headlines followed at the Borderline, Jazz Café, Come Down & Meet the Folks, What’s Cookin, and festivals Beyond Nashville and SpydaFest. With live sessions on LBC, Mean Country AM, and GWR, and Supports with Robby Faulks, The Gourds, Redlands, The Palaminos, Bill Maloney’s Trophy Wives, Long Riders, and the legendary Tony Joe White, the Snakes are now ready to move on and it is their intention to make a second album. Last year saw fellow twanger Pete Smart brought in for a tour with Tommy Hale. Temporarily covering for Culpin on Bass, the lad resurfaced with a guitar and a vocal to add a fifth dimension to their sound.
