TSWP - Where to find the music...

18 Apr 2010, 09:39

With the loss of full track previews, The Silver Wizard Project's music can no longer be listened to direct from our artist page in full, only as 30 sec previews. They are still streamable via the various radio stations associated with us (eg similar artists, tags, etc), but may not play immediately. So if you want to check out the songs in full without having to listen or skip endlessly through a radio station you can find The Silver Wizard Project on the following sites:

* Grooveshark
* Reverbnation
* Blip.fm
* Myspace

We're also on Facebook, so if you're on there become a fan to keep up to date on all the latest.

Thanks for reading.

    Nice one, Ittai! Thanks for submitting it to Audioscrobbler Addicts - good idea (I think, w/ the new LastFM scheme, there should be better support for full-track external page links in artist bio's &/or 'More Information' links). This'd also be welcome on Newbie Streamable Artists, Dagmar Krause & Dear Reader group journals - Best, Ian

    Cheers Ian. I'll join and link the article to those groups. Hopefully LastFM will sort this mess out soon, and help out us smaller artists. Regards, Ittai

    Ian, thanks for adding the journal to your groups. The way changes are made by LastFM are very poor and certainly don't benefit us unsigned/independent artists. And this only fans the gloomy talk, a lot of which I think is OTT, but understandable from smaller artists and there supporters. Yosmela, I agree this is change is not good, and the way it has been carried out is very poor managerially. But I do hope you stick around to help us smaller artists, even though it gets more difficult with every site 'upgrade'.

    Unsigned artists who hold global rights to their music will soon be able to again offer tracks in full to their fans via their track pages. For the first time, this option will be clearly labelled as “Play direct from artist”, and the plays will scrobble via an improved player, however these 'on-demand' plays will not generate royalty payments, but radio plays still will.
