Founded in 2005, the story goes that a green colored car that was seen on a used car lot in Kansas City, MO combined with a desire to start an acapella techno band spawned a record label. It makes no sense, but if you’ve ever had barbeque from Gates, you’d understand that anyone can lose their mind after that.

So, what is Easta Green? This is the response from the office:

Easta Green Music is a just another independent record label, in a digital world of independent artists. What sets us apart? Nothing really, we’re not a traditional record label or anything like that. Our real point of existence is to build something. To be apart of something. To have fun building that thing you’ve got in your mind, on a napkin, in your alphabet soup. And to feel that sense of accomplishment once you get it out.

I can tell you we record, produce, distribute, publish, copyright. Or whatever will make you dance, laugh, yell, and/or shake.
