Intro/general thoughts: As a reviewer, it’s really hard to review compilation CDs. There are several artists on a single album, and even though they’re playing the same type of music, every one of them has different styles. In some ways, it makes it easy to compare the bands to each other, but in other ways, it’s more difficult because a) it’s hard to get a handle on any one band’s style, and b) I don’t feel like writing four reviews. ;-)

Comp Elation is a sampler album from Dune Records, showcasing four different artists on that particular label, including Transonia, Wave Workers Foundation, Lin, and Weird Uncle Betty (these last two bands were reviewed right here on Indie-Music.com). Each band has three songs — presumably their best ones, since Lin’s and Weird Uncle Betty’s entries were ones that I really liked from the reviews I did.
