There are currently two theories on how this label actually exists:

a) Dealmaker Records was established in 2003 by the notorious multi-millionaire proprietor of Offshore Trading Company plc, Señor Enriqo Polatzo. The initial plan was for the label to act as a legitimate front for an underground cheesecake distribution network, but before long Her Majesty’s Customs & Excise caught wind of the operation, forcing it underground for it then to re-emerge as a dope label with a high quality output of beats, raps and jazz and stuff like that.

b) The Dealmaker Label is run by a merry band of nefarious miscreants based in Nottingham. We release quality music for underground artists which goes into records shops worldwide via Cargo. We also together events, promote gigs, we got a studio and a sound system for hire. Ste is the founder and a wannabe art dealer who should really just get a job, but instead has his heart set on bringing out his own brand of ridiculously hot chilli sauce. Hugh is the illest trumpet player in the west, composer, producer, DJ, and studio manager. Sean is the Boss, Head of A&R and Marketing,
Abbott is the walking encyclopedia of all things Notts and the manager of the labels virtual web presence, Rikki is the fastest drawer in the west, a freelance professional creative ideas man and a proud Father to boot - see his new shop at http://www.viewtheshop.co.uk. Tom Q makes beats… sick sick beats and an all round audio ninja. Yassa does the live sound and Robin does the mastering.
