  • [D!HR-13] Pocketmaster - Residue

    25 Mar 2010, 14:00 by Bozoo

    Hello,

Da ! Heard It Records returns to its first love with pocketmaster's second album, Residue.
An album undeniably 8bit, carefully woven by two crazy swiss, fans of Commodore 64 and of Game Boy.

Twelve fresh and happy tracks ready for a chip spring.

    About the release

Residue is Swiss duo Pocketmaster's first album.
After the festive EP Tin Guerilla (2008/self-produced), the Cube-C and Emiglio Laser duo abandons self-production to release its first label album.

Used to lowtech manipulations and samples from old chips, toys or other various sources, this time, Pocketmaster chose to surprise us by preserving the sound card's raw sound, without manipulation. A certain image-radical-purety!
The album is thus concocted entirely from the Game-boy and Commodore 64 duo, spiced up with all sorts of samples and a few old synthesizers, all recorded in a record time. The result is a twelve tracker, fresh and joyful…

  • [D!HR-12] VICNET - MR. HADOPI

    10 Jan 2010, 21:07 by Bozoo

    Hello,

The new release of Vicnet is online on Da ! Heard It Records.

    Here's the press release :

You can't judge a book by its cover. While Vicnet seems to mock future victims of the new Hadopi 2.0 law by welcoming with glee the Sarkozy government's initiative with his second album "Mr Hadopi", this album is more of a cry against an ubiquitous hypocrisy and a vibrant ode to free culture. Penniless and starving from long months of finicky work in the cold on this free album, he limited his desires-and eating habits- to the bare minimum, and changed his methods to create a purer music, less digital and warmer: a technoid and monstrously funky pump, lively and hyperactive. While you could consider it a maturity album, to Vicnet, it is more of a rejuvenation: he describes his productions for the label Da! Heard It Records as an "old man's music for young people".

Created, among other things, with his Roland SH-101 found in a Monaco trashcan, his TB-303 and various synthesized voices…

  • [D!HR-11] Puyo Puyo - Disco

    22 Sep 2009, 19:16 by Bozoo

    Da ! Di ! Da ! Dou, Disco !

The new release of Puyo Puyo is online on Da ! Heard It Records.

    Here's the press release :

"Disco is the sixth production from the charismatic Puyo Puyo . This latest release puts forward a rather large selection of electronic popreferences, giving prominent parts to voice and groovy melodies. This album is a delicious witches brew of German new-wave, Psychopolka,Turbopop and that little Puyesque je-ne-sais-quoi, iodiosyncratic
dissonant melodies, glitch and kitsch licks.

Sharp uptempo beats adventurously push the thirteen tracks into the
punctuated fiefdom of the punchy manifesto (P is for Puyo, Eddie The Head), as well as into the incantatory refrains of 80's keyboards (Up and Away, Amour), while passing through acid-disco ( Grave Groove ), industrial-cinematic (Robo Robo, Six Kings, Six Pigs) and even
dark-wave (I Fall, completely berserkte, Spleen)

Each composition creates a sonic universe with a singular narrative,

  • [D!HR-10] Eat Rabbit - Kiss The Dolphin

    28 Mar 2009, 13:30 by Bozoo

    Hello,

Da ! Heard It Records gets down to a higher tempo, with the tenth release of the label: Kiss The Dolphin.

Kiss The Dolphin is the third album of the Lyon-based Eat Rabbit; atypical one, cut into fourteen tracks that finally merge into one unique sound piece. A mish-mash of beats and rythmic madness, lined up with humor and brilliance by a mad rabbit determined to boost our auditive adrenalin.

The album cover is silkscreened and paw-made in a limited numbered edition by the rabbit himself, in different versions, including a phosphorescent one !

« It's not hard to party» : download the electro-bootycore album here: http://www.daheardit-records.net/en/discography/dhr10/ and share it loud with your friends.

  • [D!HR-09] Tom Woxom - Kickstart

    25 Jan 2009, 19:33 by Bozoo

Da ! Heard It Records is going back to the classics with its ninth production: "Kickstart", the first album by Tom Woxom, a German composer fascinated by the Amiga 500.

With help from his treasured computer, a couple of keyboards and software, Tom Woxom built himself a puzzling musical universe.
Through ornate beats and powerful heady basses, this album lures the listener into multiple atmospheres. Tom Woxom dares unusual pairings, as in Sofachips, where he combines a soul voice with an electro melody on the verge of dance music.

  • [D!HR-08] [Guÿôm] - The Awareness of Raving Rabbit

    15 Dec 2008, 16:56 by Bozoo

Da ! Heard It Records ventures into new sonic territory with the release of [Guÿôm] second album, The Awareness of Raving Rabbit.

[guÿôm], a superhero by turns capricious and raving mad, walks the listener through a maze of different soundscapes. While the Little Prince managed to set foot on only seven planets, [Guÿôm] touches down on nine throughout the different tracks assembled here. This voyage of initiation brings the author face to face with his imaginary friends (like Gros Doudou and the famous Billybob), pulling the absurdities that surround him into sharp focus.

[Guÿôm]’s world, mirrored in his musical universe, admits no frontiers!

Take a tour of [Guÿôm]’s world by downloading his album for free here.

    Get ready to dance!
