Catskills is a Brighton, UK based independent record label covering many genres of music from Folktronica to UK Hip Hop. Catskills is run by people involved at every stage of the game, DJs, producers, retailers and promoters. The point is to understand all angles. However, the emphasis is always on experimentation, artistic freedom and musical diversity.

2006 saw releases from the label including Hardkandy’s long awaited album, Last to Leave with singles backed with remixes by Nu:Tone, Simian Mobile Disco and Ellmore Judd and colaboration with the legendary Terry Callier. There were also new albums from Husky Rescue with “Ghost Is Not Real” and the return of Black Grass with “A Hundred Days In One”.

So far in 2007 The Ripps, Catskills Coventry connection have been tearing up venues with their cheeky brand of punk power pop, and their debut album “Long Live The Ripps” has been receiving rave reviews in the national press. Pepe Deluxeare readying themselves to drop their third album “Spare Time Machine” and later on in the year look out for the Bushy LP as well as the Catskills 10 Year Anniversary album.

    I guess from your label tags you're from Brighton, Finland. And I noticed fellow south coaster Freshly Squeezed is from Brighton, Belgium. There must be a lot of Brightons!
