Autoreverse began as a home-cassette label and becomed a record label in 1999 for the Loud debut EP release. After a succesfully flag compilation named “Songs for the blue times” the label signed trip-hop duo Lost Balance and the techno-pop artist Grado 33, previously well-known by his alias Prozack and Gauss.

Romanticism, handicrafts and CDs on repeat all evening long.

Autoreverse started out as a totally independent tape and CD-R edit house; a combination of romanticism, fondness and handicrafts. It had an initial theoretical stage for a short time, during which it also worked editing monographic music booklets. But since the summer of 1997, we began editing Sukiyaki’s (the Autoreverse owners own band) rough cuts in a very careful way and with Autoreverse’s references. As we did not pretend to exclusively edit our music but also others that appealed to us, we brought out “Un Capricho Autoreverse” (“An Autoreverse Caprice”) on CD-R, in which we gathered unknown names or alter egos of other more famous characters.
One day we realised that certain songs deserved something more than a house edition, and so we decided to do things in style. Aldo, Mario and Lidia were captivated by that crazy Elena’s idea and, the four of us, were proud to present Loud’s debut and the compilation “Songs For The Blue Times” at the end of the year 2000.
Different paths and expectations grew Aldo & Elena apart from Mario & Lidia: Mario has started running his own label, Newtone/Overtone.
