Ah, our eighty-fourth site. It seems like only yesterday, we were on #47. I’m sure it seems that way to a lot of other people. People ask us why he have had, seriously, like 6 or 7 sites. The only thing I can say is that I’m always striving for the best. That’s sort of why I started All Records.

The short story behind the label is that I own a printing and design company. I just got done pressing Socratic’s first EP called “It’s Getting Late” for No Milk Records. Kyle and Greg (via No Milk) drove out to Altoona (where I was living at the time) from Philadelphia to pick them and the stickers I made for the CD and they chilled for a little bit and we had a good conversation. I woke up the next morning thinking, “I can do that.”

I “signed” a couple bands (meaning I told them I was going to put them on my site) that we never ended up releasing anything for. My roommate ended up kicking me out and I moved home and kind of put the label on the backburner.

All that ended when I decided to start the label up again with my friends, Steve Banack and Matt Rumolo. Joining up with them, the label sort of inherited For Felix and Steve’s band, Years Spent Cold. They also turned me on to a band that played a local festival in Monroe called “Kenstock”. Their name was Someday Never.

After I dug the two songs they had on their MP3.com site (“Curiosity Sucks” and “Goodbye To You”, both their versions off their first EP, Most Popular Losers), a friend and I went up to The Cricket Club in Irvington to check out them play with Alexisonfire and Spitalfield. I fell in love.
