William James Dixon, meglio noto come Willie Dixon (Vicksburg, 1 luglio 1915 - Burbank, 29 gennaio 1992) è stato un famoso bassista blues, cantante, compositore e produttore discografico statunitense.

Dixon fu produttore per la Chess Records a Chicago ed è considerato una delle figure chiave nella nascita del genere musicale Chicago Blues.   • Worthwhile noting that NO other blues musician has ever had as many artists cover his material, bar-none. His catalogue helped create what is now rock and roll. Every collection should include at least Giant Of The Blues double album. An absolute genius.
