I am thankful my dad was such a music buff. He owned 100's of old school CDs (Well, in the 90's they were still current!) and from 3 years old til about 6, I would just pick random CDs out of his collection and listen to them. I had no idea what I was listening to, I just appreciated the music. Rediscovering this stuff at 24 and hearing the merit in these artists has been a real joy

Yeah, Beatnik, I'm also surprised that their play and listener count isn't much higher. But then again, they never really crossed over to the "pop audience" so that may contribute to the lower numbers.

once we get these tags straight the Tony Toni Toné plays will increase. talk about an overlooked 90's group. their 1993 sons of soul cd stayed in my top 5 for 93 and 94. jam after jam, starting iwth lay your head on my pillow. i got lost in the bass track on that jam. not to mention anniversary...sons of soul eventually went triple platinum once people caught on. great memories!
