UGHHH! I hate listening to bands that sing about the things they are passionate for and love! Especially when those are things that I don't love! I mean singing about Jesus!? seriously!?...I'm just being sarcastic and joking around.
"I Am A Stranger" just found its way onto my mix station and I definitely need to hear more! I love the way their music just makes their voices and instruments flow together into a unique and beautiful sound~
I love the picture of Sufjan lurking in the background. Perfectly describes the sound of this album. It's an amazing album, as long as I can get by the lyrics. I have absolutely nothing wrong with Christianity, but not being a Christian just means I have trouble relating to them on a personal level, which is pretty big to me when listening to music.
I am a Christian (for whatever that's worth). This is typical, contrived, indie shit. Where are the artists? Move on from this, I want to listen to music that pushes limits, not regurgitates the same ol'. Gotta be honest.
It's not really overtly Jesusy. (Apart from "Jesus" of course. The whole choir at the start chanting "Jesus" over and over seems a bit over the top for me.) But on the whole, no. Definitely give the rest of it a listen. c:
