n the late ‘70s, I became enraptured with the punk movement – Dead Boys, Ramones, Pistols, Clash, etc., and formed a band, Robert Hazard and the Heroes. We played every bar in the Philadelphia area. We were either working or rehearsing seven nights a week for two years.

  • Robert Hazard died 8 years ago today. He was a great signer songwriter, from new wave to folk and Americana, he was an inspired musician. My best to him, his family and friends.
  • Girls Just Wanna Have fun is an excellent song, so much better than that stupid pop version. Did he release any other music?
  • Saw Robert Hazard and the Heros play in 1979 in Lancaster, PA., at a place called "The Village" located next door to the Lancaster Police Station. Met my future wife there that evening, and he (Robert) kicked ass that night, and was very friendly guy to meet.
