1. (III) by Crystal Castles
Apparently this isn't considered as good as their first two albums, but it's more experimental and darker and this does it for me. I'm in love with the atmosphere which is somewhere between despair and resignation and the usual melancholy that their songs transmit (to me, at least). I think that Crystal Castles are a great portrait of our modern world and III brought this to a new level through the themes and sound. It's just beautiful. When I'm unsettled enough for it not to hurt my mind and ears, which luckily happens often enough.
Songs: Transgender, Kerosene, Pale Flesh, Insulin
