For more then 30 years characterizes the multiple Grammy winner Jeff Lorber the jazz scene as the studio musician, producer, manager and talent scout, of course, but also with his own compositions. With his late seventies, founded “Jeff Lorber Fusion”, for many years one o f the most popular and successful jazz bands, he made stylistic pioneered fusion jazz. His music – only 21 albums under his own name, he has released to date – is a refreshing, wonderfully funky groovy mix that appear in the pop and jazz elements as well as in R&B and blues. Combinations of excellent musicians, who are re-create a musical surprise and a special musical experience.

Kenny Gorelick at his best on Galaxian as well as the early 80s. Anyone who doesn't think this man can bust out a mean solo ought to hear his solo on "Bright Sky" [2] As much as I hate the Muzak he has specialized in since late 80's, I have to admit Kenny G hasn't always been cheesy, he was even pretty funky back in the day. What a waste of talent :(

JHL's early stuff is has better licks, chops, & riff's than today's watered down smooth jazz artists. JHL is a fusion trailblazer.
