I can't believe it’s friggin' June already. Since I really, really need to do some work before going apartment hunting in Edmonton next week and on vacation the week after that, I’ll keep this brief: music is good. Specifically, the music included on this mix.
Kudos this month to Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak and Flock of Dimes for being involved in another musical project which sounds nothing like her other two (and is also awesome), Jim Guthrie for pumping out all kinds of interesting things, the National for yet another album of the year contender, Queens of the Stone Age for returning with a solid and focused effort, and Mark Kozelek & Jimmy LaValle for the most affecting song you'll ever hear about employing Mexican illegal immigrants to renovate your cabin in the mountains. Seriously.
