Gen 9 2011, 5:38 di supson2010 was a year of many amazing things (our 4th child, the Olympics), but music was not really one of them. There were plenty of good albums, but nothing great that completely blew me away, and the fact I went to only a handful of concerts is a testament to this. However, 2011 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years in music ever with a ton of incredible artists due to unleash new materials. Here’s a look back at the best of the past 12 months, plus the always controversial albums that I had high hopes for but really sucked. Also check out the accompanying post on my site that has some other interesting stats about the top artists of 2010: http://bit.ly/eN0wqj.
26. Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
This is a decent album, in fact it is their best to date. There's no doubt they're talented but I'm still waiting for the epiphany that many others seem to have had around this band. Being Canadian, I'm sure happy that so many others have had a divine conversion though.
Stand Out Track: Ready to Start
Lug 5 2010, 20:34 di MattSidFreebass It's A Beautiful Life The God Machine

Dic 30 2005, 11:19 di georgebillsInteresting possible album releases in 2006 (because everyone's doing it, and it's kind of useful):
February 7th, 2006 is apparently the release date for this.
'Their Law: The Singles' is out on September 26. Despite the huge gap between 1997's 'The Fat Of The Land' and last year's 'Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned', Liam Howlett said a new studio album will be out by the end of next year. He said: "Now we're back together as three people, being on the road is a good place to write music. I write on my laptop, so we've been playing new shit."
...yay for not being a solo Liam Howlett release - "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned" was not anywhere near as great as I expect a Prodigy album to be. I hear that he writes the majority of the material for the other albums anyway (I don't know if that's actually true or not, but eh), but despite that, I still choose to blame him for Outnumbered.
Dic 2 2005, 22:37 di trigger_hippie* Jan. 2006: new Richard Ashcroft's album, "Keys to the World"
* Feb. 2006: new Primal Scream's album (omg, can't wait!!), title's not confirmed yet.
* to hear anything released by Freebass (mani of Primal Scream, Peter Hook of New Order and Andy Rourke of The Smiths). still curious who'll be their vocalist.
so, we have something excellent to wait for, don't we? ;)
