1. Dave Sadler
- "Blues Night Special"
The name says it all, this is blues rock done just as you might expect - harmonica, piano and the whole thing. Sadler spends most of his time name-checking legends of the style, though, and that really isn't a good thing. I feel as though he's not telling me anything about himself, suggesting perhaps that there isn't as much to him as you might expect.
2. Fariborz Lachini
An Iranian-born soundtrack composer. This is a very brief track, but it's clear from the sound that it would be used in a movie just at the right moment. Not bad at all, but rather generic and soundtrack-sounding.
3. Die Apokalyptischen Reiter
- "Human End"
German melodic death metal, although I'm not hearing a lot of melody here. This just never seems to "click" the way a good song should. …
