First Post: I might be behind the curve but this is what I have been listening to over the past week or so: Peter Karp, "Shadows and Cracks" http://www.peterkarp.com/about.html Bill Kirchen, "Hammer of the Honky-Tonk gods" http://billkirchen.com/CrosstownArts/client_music/kirchen/ Gerald Collier, "Low Tar Taste" or "Breakin' Down" Harry Manx, "Mantras for Madmen" Dave Alvin and the Guilty Women (self-titled) Walter Trout, (anything !) < more bluesy than country Watermelon Slim, "No Paid Holidays" (or anything else) < more bluesy than country Wayne Hancock, "Tulsa"

Hey -- just wanted to introduce you to an Americana/Country singer/songwriter I represent. -- http://www.last.fm/music/Reagan+Boggs -- "Reagan Boggs is a fantastic songwriter, and powerful singer. 'The Graves' (track 9) is brilliant, edgy Americana and 'Mixed Signals' (track 10) sounds like the Ronstadt repertoire from 1973. This disc may be your most pleasant discovery of the year!" -- Rob Reinhart - Acoustic Cafe - Radio's best international showcase for new and classic acoustic music. -- Comparisons include; Emmylou Harris, Tift Merritt, Lucinda Williams, Kasey Chambers, Kathleen Edwards, Patty Loveless, Linda, Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, Rhonda Vincent and Allison Moorer. Hope you enjoy!

Hey y'all! I'm an acoustic singer/songwriter living in the hills north of Nashville. I have just released a new CD called "What's Not To Love About That?" It was recorded and produced in Nashville by Duane Sciacqua, whose professional credits include Rodney Atkins, Vince Gill, Glen Frey, and Paul McCartney. It's on the acoustic folkie/country side of Americana...guitar, mandolin, harmonica, dobro, accordion, and bass. Please check out a few tunes at http://www.last.fm/music/Kurt+Fortmeyer Thanks so much.

If you like Old Crow Medicine Show, Avett Brothers, Felice Brothers, etc, then I can't recommend Red Clay River highly enough -- I am so freaking addicted to this band. I get stuck on the EP in particular, and just play it on repeat for hours. Effing amazing. And live -- these guys are even better live than recorded, absolutely breathtaking. If you ever get the chance to see one of their shows, *don't miss it*. They are the sound of memory, feeling, and perseverance in Appalachia.

Well folks, my band Gasoline is in the frustrating position of having the record done, but not being in a position to get it printed up proper. It has been sitting on the shelf for a few months now doing nothing, so the decision has been taken to set it free. That's right, you can download it here: http://www.last.fm/music/Gasoline/Well+Hid+Bones Tell your friends, and tell 'em quick, because this is a limited time only sort of thing. Oh, and as far as the cover art is concerned, I'm in the process of finding out why last.fm won't let me upload it, so keep checking back. Or drop us a line if you want it all, not just the front cover. Happy listening.
