what movies have you seen recently?

  • a lot of people think it's just pseudo-artistic garbage, but i thought it was a genuinely deep concept and i always appreciate a movie that leaves me feeling a little uncomfortable.

    everybody was literally kung-fu fighting

    I watched:
    - The Hunger Games (quite the lousy movie actually)
    - The Avengers (I kinda liked it. Nice action movie. Good humor level too)

  • The Avengers and yes, it was awesome.
Also The Cabin In THe Woods last week. Which was awesome as well.

    God bless you, Joss Whedon!

    Sigs are for interesting people!

    Apocalypse Now (1979)

    - 10/10

    In The Heart of Darkness

  • The Raid

Very good for its genre - any fan of martial arts flicks should definetely see this

  • Can't believe i've been putting off watching this for so long, brilliant movie. 9.5/10.

  • I Am Legend (again) and I enjoyed it (as much as I did last time)

  • I love Jonah Hill movies.

  • This movie was so bad, which is what I expected out of a made for TV movie.

  • "Music expresses that which can not be said and on which it is impossible to be silent"

    - Victor Hugo

  • Ok...I watched the first 20 minutes of it, I couldn't bring myself to watch the entire movie.

    Murphy's War

    - 8.5/10

    O'Toole is a hero

"I used to do all my own stunts when I first started" he said. "I made it a principle. Everything in Lawrence of Arabia I did myself. But after suffering a paralysed hand, a bad back, broken ankle and countless knocks, I decided never again. It was stupid. Films employ stunt men. They can do these things far better than I. I refused to do any more stunts. [Then] I thought, well, just one more time. So I talked myself into it. In Venezuela I even fly a seaplane. If you want to see a picture of sheer terror have a look at the shots of me when I first fly that seaplane." [For that sequence a camera was strapped to the wing of the aircraft.]

    - Peter O'Toole
